Whole chromosome paints have become a valuable and widely used tool for identifying structural and numerical abnormalities, as well as cryptic abnormalities beyond the resolution of G-banding. XRP XCyting rat chromosome painting probes are chromosome-specific and comprise whole chromosome painting probes, which are directly labeled with green and red fluorochromes, respectively. XRPs are available for all rat chromosome classes.
