The 24XCyte Human Multicolor FISH (mFISH) Probe Kit consists of 24 different chromosome painting probes, each paint being labeled with one of five fluorochromes or a unique combination thereof (combinatorial labeling). This offers the simultaneous presentation of all 24 different human chromosomes within a single hybridization experiment.

MetaSystems is unique in offering an integrated mFISH package, including the 24XCyte mFISH, carefully selected narrow band fluorescent filters, and the powerful easy-to-use imaging system Isis. Precise identification of chromosomes and determination of rearrangements can be made routinely using the sophisticated analysis tools. There is no need for additional control experiments with conventional chromosome paints, because the filter based method of mFISH allows the direct inspection of the original hybridization signals.

The 24XCyte probe kit gives excellent results with preparations from lymphocytes, bone marrow, and cultured cell lines. The probe mix is supplied ready-to-use in hybridization buffer.
