The datasheet integrated in Ikaros and Isis can be used to generate customized print forms and reports.

mFISH: The single color gallery in Isis displays each single color channel, the fluorochrome profiles, and the DAPI image side by side.

With the relocation system ReloSys metaphases and other objects detected by a Metafer system can be analyzed remotely.

Metaphases on clonal slides are automatically assigned to the respective clones. The clone identifier is transferred to Ikaros after AutoCapt image acquisition.

With the extraordinary LED microscope illumination device high-quality color images in Brightfield are generated.

DNA Probe Kits

Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) has become a major tool for research in human chromosomes, tumour cytogenetics and diagnostics. Its is routinely applied in genetics and allows nearly unlimited and targeted visualization of genomic DNA using either metaphase spreads, interphase nuclei, tissue sections, or living cells.

FISH applications are particularly important for the detection of structural rearrangements such as microdeletions, translocations, inversions, and insertions, as well as for identification of marker chromosomes, characterization of chromosome breakpoints, and prenatal aneuploidy testing. The clinical impact of FISH is huge especially in the diagnosis, prognosis and therapy of haematological diseases. Here, FISH plays a central role in combination with classic chromosome banding analysis to rapidly detect and to verify specific aberrations.

MetaSystems is proud to offer a wide range of high quality DNA probes known to reach a special standard in reliability of the results. Together with the unique combination of our expert-knowledge, customer-friendly support and the MetaSystems imaging systems which are in routine use throughout the world, we are ready to provide additional valuable benefits to each customer.

All MetaSystems probe kits are approved for in-vitro diagnostic use in the EU. In all other countries for research only.

XCyting Whole Chromosome Paints

For Human Chromosomes
Whole chromosome paints have become a valuable and widely used tool for identifying structural and numerical abnormalities, as well as cryptic abnormalities beyond the resolution of G-banding. XCP Human Chromosome Painting Probes are detecting the entire length of individual chromosomes with high sensitivity and specificity. XCPs are labeled with either green or red fluorochromes, and the hybridization protocol is straightforward and produces high quality results.

For Mouse and Rat Chromosomes
XMP XCyting mouse and XRP XCyting rat chromosome painting probes are chromosome-specific and comprise whole chromosome painting probes, which are directly labeled with green and red fluorochromes, respectively. XMPs and XRPs are available for all mouse and rat chromosome classes, respectively.

XCyting Arm-Specific Chromosome Paints

XCAP arm-specific chromosome painting probes differentially identify the p- and q-arms of human chromosomes with excellent target specificity. They provide more information on the actual arrangement of the genome than you could obtain by means of whole chromosome paints. XCAPs are preferentially used for the detection of interarm rearrangements (e.g. pericentric inversions) in addition to interchanges. Our high quality XCAP probes are available for all human chromosomes except the acrocentric chromosomes 13, 14, 15, 21 and 22. They are directly labeled with green (p-arm) and red (q-arm) fluorochromes and are hybridized using a simple and fast protocol giving reliable results.

All MetaSystems probe kits are approved for in-vitro diagnostic use in the EU. In all other countries for research only.

XCyting Multicolor FISH (mFISH) Probe Kits

For Human Chromosomes
MetaSystems is unique in offering an integrated mFISH package, including the 24XCyte mFISH, carefully selected narrow band fluorescent filters, and the powerful easy-to-use imaging system Isis. Precise identification of chromosomes and determination of rearrangements can be made routinely using the sophisticated analysis tools. There is no need for additional control experiments with conventional chromosome paints, because the filter based method of mFISH allows the direct inspection of the original hybridization signals.

For Mouse and Rat Chromosomes
The mFISH technique with its various advantages can also be applied to mice and rat chromosomes. Like 24XCyte the human mFISH probe kit, the 21XMouse and the 22XRat probe kits do not require additional control experiments with conventional chromosome paints.

XCyting Multicolor Chromosome Banding (mBAND) Kits

For Human Chromosomes
Multicolor Chromosome Banding is a very versatile assay for the analysis and the differentiation of human chromosome region- specific areas at the band level. It is advantageous over other methods in the determination of breakpoints and the analysis of intra-chromosomal rearrangements like interstitial deletions, inversions, insertions, or duplications. The XCyte Human High Resolution Multicolor Chromosome Banding Probe Kits (mBand) are chromosome-specific mixtures of partial chromosome paints generated by microdissection. The paints are partially overlapping and labeled with different fluorochromes or fluorochrome combinations.
XCyte mBand can only be analyzed with MetaSystems´ FISH imaging system Isis. Simple mBand preparation protocols coupled with the easy-to-use Isis software are additional features providing considerable benefits to our customers in handling and analysis of the results. The mBand procedure is subject of the German patent No. DE 198 06 303 C2; U.S. patent 7,050,911, and European patent No. 0 957 176 B1 owned by MetaSystems.

All MetaSystems probe kits are approved for in-vitro diagnostic use in the EU. In all other countries for research only.
